How to Activate an eSIM on Your Device

eSIM allows you to activate a cellular plan digitally without a physical SIM card. The exact steps may vary depending on your carrier and device model. Contact your carrier for a QR code or activation details.

On iPhone (iOS)

Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data in some regions).
Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
Choose Use QR Code and scan the QR code provided by your carrier.
- If no QR code, tap Enter Details Manually and input the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.
Once added, enable the eSIM line and turn on Data Roaming if traveling.

On Android

Steps vary by manufacturer (Google Pixel, Samsung), but generally:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network (or SIMs).
Tap the + icon or Add SIM > Download a SIM instead?
Scan the QR code from your carrier or enter details manually.
Confirm and download the eSIM profile.
Select the eSIM for mobile data and enable Data Roaming if needed.

Tip

Install the eSIM while connected to Wi-Fi before traveling. Activation usually happens automatically upon arrival or when you enable the line.
